How did the Europeans colonize countries in Africa? What was the motivation?  Which colonizer benefited the locals and which exploited the lands?   What were the real motivations and  internal reasons and how did this era of colonization end?  This lecture analyses the last five hundred years from a historical perspective and focuses on the colonization of Africa and the British empire.

 

Naeem Zafar is a Dean’s Teaching Fellow and a member of the faculty at the University of California Berkeley, and Professor of the Practice at Brown University. He teaches courses in Entrepreneurship, Technology Strategy, Innovation and New Venture Finance at Brown and Berkeley.  Naeem is the co-founder and CEO of TeleSense, and has authored five books on entrepreneurship.
