Pam Perkins is an avid traveler and passionate photographer who resides in Redwood City, California. After retiring in 2003 as a major gifts fundraiser at Stanford University, Pam and her husband Bruce Berger, began traveling the world. Their objective was to visit places that are on the brink of change, a focus that took them to Papua New Guinea, Iran, Antarctica, and 16 countries in Africa, including Sudan and Timbuktu in Mali. On Pam’s list of countries visited, the count is now at 83.
