Rising from the ashes of the Korean War, South Korea has become a dazzling, modern, economic success story. From the immense popularity of K-dramas & K-pop and the spreading love for Korean food, Korean soft power is taking the globe by storm. Yet in the recent decade Korea is leading the world in a category no nation wants: demographic decline. SooSang Park will explore Korea’s rise in global popularity and success, but he will also proffer causes for how it came to be facing demographic disaster.
SooSang Park is Lead Pastor of Revive Presbyterian Church of Silicon Valley (PCA) in Sunnyvale, California. He was born in Korea but grew up in the Bay Area, even graduating from Saratoga High School. He has degrees from Stanford and Harvard and studied systematic theology at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia.
